iBus Network and Infrastructure Private Limited (iBUS) is a leading Indian company specializing in digital infrastructure solutions. As a neutral host and passive infrastructure provider, iBUS offers in-building wireless (IBW) connectivity solutions to mobile operators, enhancing cellular coverage within large commercial real estate properties such as IT parks, airports, hospitals, government institutions, hotels, malls, and educational campuses.
Beyond cellular connectivity, iBUS provides managed Wi-Fi services, catering to sectors like hospitality, education, and co-living spaces. The company also offers Intelligent Building Operating Systems (iBOS), utilizing AI-driven automation to optimize systems like HVAC, ELV, and MEP, aiming to deliver up to 30% energy savings. Additionally, iBUS leverages data intelligence to help businesses understand local user requirements and regional consumer behavior.
The deal underscores the purchaser’s strategic focus on revolutionizing telecom infrastructure and highlights ELP’s expertise in navigating complex transactions in the technology and telecommunications space. iBus is the largest neutral digital infrastructure player, transforming and delivering connectivity solutions in India with objective of reducing digital divide. The company offers mobility platforms to telcos, WiFi, and IoT platforms to enterprises and has hospitality and retail customers in six to seven countries and manages the network for them.
ELP provided end-to-end legal assistance in connection with the transaction including undertaking comprehensive legal due diligence exercise of Firefly to identify potential risks and liabilities, drafting, negotiating, and finalizing transaction documents and advising the client on all aspects of the closing.
