Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (Law) for doing work in a Project namely “A Study on Functioning of Commercial Courts in the Southern Region of India for Improving Ease of Doing Business” funded by Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The period of the Project is 12 months.
About DSNLU
The aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh to have a centre of excellence in legal education was fulfilled by establishing Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), by the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide DSNLU Act, 2008 at Visakhapatnam to impart quality legal education, it is also recognised u/s 2 (f) of UGC Act, 1956 and the BCI. Its mission is to design and deliver legal education, promote academic achievement and excellence in legal research. The University offers a 5 year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree and one year LL.M. (Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Commercial Law) degree. The University has MOUs for student exchange programs with other National Law Universities at Bangalore, Kolkata, Patna and Patiala. Additionally, University has an MOU with ICADR; NLU Delhi, and is a deemed Study Center by the IGNOU.

Role of the Research Assistant:
The selected candidate has to work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator of the Project. As part of the project work, the candidate is supposed to work in diverse research activities including fieldwork, data collection, data analysis, report drafting and other related activities.
Eligibility/ Qualification required: Post-Graduate Degree in Law (LL.M.). PhD in Law, UGC NET, JRF, SLET is desirable.

Stipend: 26000/- consolidated pay per month
