A 'Justice Clock' is set to be introduced at the Calcutta High Court which would display the status of cases before it and the subordinate courts.
A ‘Justice Clock‘ is set to be introduced at the Calcutta High Court which would display the status of cases before it and the subordinate courts. The electronic board to be installed in court will also show the ranking of the high courts and subordinate court. There are 22.81 Lakhs cases pending before different courts in Kolkata and 17.7 Lakhs are criminal cases. The Justice Clock would be installed both in High Court and subordinate court. Of the total pending cases in the state, including civil and criminal, 3,16,902 cases are pending before different courts for more than 10 years, as per the National Judicial Data Grid.
