Notifications & Revised Guidelines for Lockdown Extension

SOCIAL DISTANCING FOR GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, STATE GOVERNMENT AND STATE AUTHORITIES

The lockdown has been extended till May 3, 2020. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has directed the Government of India, State Government and State Authorities to further observe the social distancing under Section 6 (2) (i) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

EXCEPTION TO THE LOCKDOWN FOR AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS

The Home Ministry has issued Notification dated April 3, 2020, to extend exception of lockdown to the agricultural operations to communicate the notification to field agencies.

HOME MINISTRY DIRECTIONS FOR STRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GUIDELINES 

The Home Ministry in wake of news of detention of the trucks carrying essential and non- essential goods, exempted categories not getting passes and authorisation, operations of cold storage and warehouses not allowed has issued a notification dated April 12, 2020, for strict implementation of the guidelines.

HOME MINISTRY DIRECTIONS TO IMPLEMENT THE DIRECTIONS OF THE HON’BLE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA FOR PIL FOR REDRESSAL OF MIGRANT LABOURS

The directions of the Home Ministry was for implementation for concerns for the migrant labours, their medical requirement and use of volunteers to take care of their psychological concerns.

DIRECTIONS ISSUED BY MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS

  • All passenger train services cancelled till May 3, 2020.
  • All ticket booking counters for booking including UTS and PRS to remain suspended.
  • No advance reservation of train tickets including E-tickets but online cancellation would remain functional.
  • Full refund for those cancelling the advance booking of tickets for trains not yet cancelled.
  • Full refund for trains cancelled.
