Course on legal awareness with Maharaja Agrasen College by NALSA

Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi, has organised ten days add on course on Legal Awareness and Literacy for its students in collaboration with National Legal Service Authority (NALSA) & Delhi State Legal Authority (DLSA) East from  October 27 to November 12.

Around 270 students have enrolled for this course which be held online. The inaugural session was held in a hybrid mode with more than fifty students who participated in the physical mode while the others joined online.

Deepak Jagotra,  District and Sessions Judge and Chairman, DLSA East delivered the inaugural address. He talked about judiciary and the need of greater awareness amongst students about different laws and key judgements. Furthermore, he stressed the need for the judicial process to be accessible to each and every student.

In his welcome address, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, Principal, Maharaja Agrasen College stressed on the need for such courses to spread legal awareness amongst the youth of the country.
