Delhi court asks Aakar Patel to not leave country without its permission

Delhi court has asked former Amnesty International India Chief Aakar Patel to not leave the country without its permission and has stayed a trial court’s order asking CBI director to apologise. Patel on Friday filed a contempt petition against CBI officials for not following court orders to withdraw the Look Out Circular issued against him. The former journalist was prevented from from flying out of the Bengaluru International Airport late on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, the CBI has challenged the court’s order passed on Thursday to withdraw the Look Out Certificate and directing the CBI director to issue a written apology to Patel
