Economic Laws & Practice (ELP) has strengthened its leadership with the recent addition of two partners.
Yashojit Mitra, who previously was a Partner in Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’ corporate team for eight years comes back into the ELP fold in a leadership role to oversee the corporate commercial practice of the firm, across all its offices. Yashojit has over 18 years of experience in M&A, foreign investments, private equity transactions and inbound and outbound investments. He has deep experience in company law, securities laws, exchange control laws and other related enactments, and is widely recognized as a leading practitioner in his field.
Mumtaz joins ELP’s Dispute Resolution team in Delhi from L&L Partners Law Offices, Delhi. Mumtaz has over 13 years of experience in the field of litigation and dispute resolution across a wide variety of sectors. She possesses significant experience in civil trials, criminal trials, PMLA issues, constitutional issues and consumer disputes. She is also an Advocate on the Record of the Supreme Court of India.
