It conducts data driven research and provides information on civic issues to citizens, media, and government administration and works with elected representatives to identify and address inefficiencies in their work processes, bridge the information gaps, and aid them in taking corrective measures.

My key learnings were

I learnt how to file RTI and what are its procedures. I was also involved in carrying out extensive research on the policy and governance of the municipal authorities across Mumbai. I researched and analysed various Acts of different state’s municipal corporation as well.

Concern areas

The organisation does not have pure legal work in relation to litigation or non-litigation. But if you really want to bring change in the society, then Praja Foundation is the best place to begin with.

The main work was to conduct an extensive and detailed research on the issues of the matter and prepare a draft of arguments with case laws and legal provisions.

Concern

Since, it was a virtual internship for me, so I missed the opportunity of being at the Supreme Court and learn the practical aspects of litigation.
