PAST EXPERIENCES
Sanjay has over 20 years of experience working with major pharmaceutical companies. He was a General Counsel at Emcure Pharma and amongst his several roles, he headed GSK’s Compliance team. He also headed Hetero’s legal team and has been part of Piramal and Ranbaxy. He and his team will further augment our capacities while advising health care companies.
Working as a Head of Legal Ethics & Compliance in GSK Consumer Healthcare India, he implemented GSK’s new model for access to medicines in major footprint markets.
As a part of Hetero Lab group, as Head of Legal, he was responsible for Hetero’s Generic markets in India and Emerging markets and legal risks relating to business law, collaboration, licensing and litigation. He was responsible for CBI and anti-money laundering cases and defended the management in the CBI court and Enforcement Directorate.
Sanjay, being a strategic legal professional, has 20 years of rich experience in the Life Sciences & Health Industry. He primarily focuses on scientific, medical and regulatory issues in product liability cases, including expert advice, motions and criminal issues. He has provided his expertise in performing rigorous due diligence and drafting strong legal contracts for pharmaceuticals and medical device companies and their compliance functions. He has also worked on commercial disputes, false claims cases, clinical trial, DPCO, Fixed-Dose Commination, US Antitrust DOJ investigation on drug cartelization of Indian pharmaceutical companies.
