Say No to Domestic Violence: Ring the bell: Sahodya NGO Assisting Victims

Gender discrimination and violence against women are common in India. According to a report by the National Health and Family Survey, one in every three women in India, starting from the age of 15, has faced some form of domestic or sexual violence. This same survey also reported that 54.4% of rural women and 46.8% of urban women believe that domestic abuse is normal.

SAYODHYA is a non-profit organization based in Hyderabad, established in 2010. It is an initiative of a group of women employees in Dr. Reddy’s Foundation which seeks to primarily cater to women in need of shelter and support.

Sayodhya Short Stay home in GHMC Community Hall, Amberpet for shelterless women, domestically abused women, orphans, semi-orphans and first generation of women with rural background who intend to study in Hyderabad.

Free Family Counseling Centers

Sayodhya aims to reach out to the victim of domestic violence, sexual abuse, assault and develop a support system by way of legal aid, shelter and security, crisis situation management so as to make her lead a violence free life with dignity.
