At the beginning, a two minutes silence prayer was observed, offering condolence for the untimely death of advisor of the association as well as former president of Keonjhar Bar Association, Rudra Prasad Mohanta.

Thereafter a discussion on establishment of High Court Bench in South Odisha was held at length. The demand of High Court Bench in western Odissa was also approved.

The association strongly condemned the attack on member of Bhuban Bar Association of Dhenkanal district Sasidhar Mohanty, for which it was decided to request the State Government to bear the treatment expenses of Mohanty, by taking the matter to the knowledge of CM.

Also the Police DG will be appealed to arrest the accused and provide due protection to the lawyers.

On behalf of all bar councils, a memorandum will be sent to the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court and the Law Minister requesting to conduct election for the State Bar Council by January, 2023.

A discussion was held on 51st Annual Meet of all Bar Associations. A committee of five members under leadership of president Mohanty will finalize venue and agenda for the meeting.
