T.S. Gopalan & Co. was founded in the year 1976 by its founder partner T.S.Gopalan. Currently, the firm has a team of 25 members including 5 partners, senior associates, associates and support staff. The Firm constantly endeavours to exceed client expectations and to maintain long-term relationship with them. The team is well conversant with representations and initiations, pursuing litigation in the original side as well as the appellate side of the High Court in all civil matters.

About the Partners
T.S.Gopalan
T.S.Gopalan, the Founder of the Firm, has been practicing as an Advocate for over 5 decades, having received able guidance from Legal luminaries of yesteryear. His forte is advising Corporate clients on various aspects of Employment laws and has a passion for conducting trials before various Courts on issues of varying financial magnitudes including on questions of wages, bonus etc.
He has handled Industrial disputes concerning large industrial undertaking both in Public and Private Sector and Multinationals. He also advises multinationals about current labour legislations and other laws that would be applicable to them, on their setting up units in India.
Anand Gopalan
A Barrister from Middle Temple London, Anand is a second generation lawyer, who got enrolled in the Bar in 2000. He received early guidance in direct and indirect taxation as he actively assisted a leading taxation law firm in Chennai. He then took a paradigm shift towards Labour and Industrial Laws by joining T.S.Gopalan and Co.
Having completed his Masters from Cardiff University, Wales, Anand has the credit of revitalising the functioning of the firm. He has often briefed Senior Counsels in the Supreme Court and High Court in crucial areas of law. He is the Chairman of the Expert Committee in Labour Laws and Legal Committee of the Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He has addressed conferences and conducted seminars organised by the EFSI, CII, Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry, NIPM and CHROMA.
Mr. V. Rajagopalan
Mr. V. Rajagopalan is the senior most member of the firm with a rich, vast experience in industrial relations. He is a graduate in economics and law with post-graduate diploma in social science and services. He has over three decades of exposure in the field of human resource management in public and private limited companies.
He started his career with a brief stint in Binny Engineering Limited and then shifted to Sundaram Clayton where he was part of the HR department from 1963 to 1978. In the year 1979, he shifted to SRP Tools as General Manager (H.R.) until 1995. In 1995, he joined the firm and continued to advise the team and clients on various intricacies and nuances of employment laws.
For over 15 years in the firm, he has been handling disputes relating to labour affairs before the labour court, central government industrial tribunal and quasi-judicial authorities of state and central governments.
